Men’s & Women’s Health Enhancement Program
Risk factors, signs & symptoms and prevention models of heart disease, cancer, mental health, arthritis and diabetes. Program developed in association with the University of Arizona College of Public Health and national disease management organizations. Funding generously provided by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.

Fats: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Where do you find the good fats, how to identify the bad fats and how to avoid the really ugly trans fats. Cholesterol, HDL, LDL and understanding saturated versus unsaturated explained through visual lipid tubes. Fast foods, vending machine foods, Mexican foods, comparison foods and snack foods are each explained through visual displays.

Eating for More Energy and Less Stress
This presentation offers participants information concerning foods that have been identified as having influences on the body’s energy levels. How to maintain proper blood sugar levels along with facts about sugar, caffeine and other substances are addressed. Foods that are known headache triggers are presented. Support information

The benefits of physical activity and an active lifestyle are supported by the findings of this comprehensive study. Information addressing benefits for youth, women, men, along with older and disabled individuals is available.

Motivational message which presents a success formula for pursuing fulfillment. Based on discovering, developing and dispersing our personal gifts. Includes perspectives on adversity contributing to accomplishments. This program is offered monthly to Canyon Ranch guests. Support information

Workshops in learning breath work, progressive relaxation, yoga, stretching, visualization and guided imagery. Techniques in self-massage also available

This presentation includes a video on job stress along with views on the dynamics of change. How to be a participant of change. "Even if you are on the right track, if you sit still you will get run over."

Strength, Energy and Vitality Corporate Tour
Contains information from the U.S. Surgeon General explaining the benefits of physical activity. Also includes blood pressure and body composition screenings. Participants receive a bonus pass for nutrition consultation, personal training session or a complete wellness assessment at Metro Fitness. Support information

Instant Energizers
Designed to open a meeting or event. Activities offered include breath work, yoga, tai chi, stretching, jokes and storytelling.

Take a Breath Break
The workshop is designed to offer a tool for stress reduction and rejuvenation. Breath work is over 3000 years old is based on the "Practice of Mindfulness". Biometric studies show that 5-minutes of breath work offers the same levels of recovery as a 20-minute nap. The technique is relatively simple and is found in "present moment awareness" of following the pathway that each breath takes through our bodies.

Take an Office Break
This interactive session offers stretches and exercises that can be done at your workplace. Neck and shoulder stretches, low back, sciatic, carpal tunnel, hamstring and eyes all gain relief and feel great after experiencing a little physical activity at work.

Taking Care of Yourself
General wellness information focused on self-care and awareness. Information pertaining to activity, nutrition, rest, body maintenance and enhancement is presented. Video on the Mind/Body connection is available.

How to build your own program of exercise, nutrition and rest is offered with information to support each area of development. Participants receive an information packet with each session. Weight control and body management focus. Support information.

This presentation offers information from A to Z concerning vitamins, meaningful minerals and elements that our bodies require. When you should take them and how, along with overdose warnings and precautions are covered. Support information

Insights as to how our self-image can influence our habits, choices and health. How does the advertising industry, food industry and government influence our motivation and ability to comply with positive health behaviors.

Visit Aerobiquerque, N.M., Las Veggies, Nev., or Cholesterol Springs, Colo., with this activity incentive program. Designed to motivate individual activity over a 6-8 week program. Includes tour director’s guide for employee coordinator. Developed by the Wellness Councils of America.

When I Awake, I Will Feel Great . . . Sleeping Better
Attend this workshop to learn approaches to enhance sleep and rejuvination. Sleep preparation, environment, sleeping surfaces, exercise, mental engagement along with approaches to enhance relaxing the mind are all offered.
